Site C penstock delivery continues

Motorists can expect delays of up to 30 minutes on the Old Fort Road tonight as crews haul a piece of Site C penstock to the dam site, BC Hydro says.

Hauling will take place between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. The hauling is scheduled to take around 90 minutes, with delays between 10 and 35 minutes at a time, BC Hydro says.

Penstock deliveries will continue through to June 2021, either weekly or biweekly depending on project scheduling, BC Hydro says.

Night-time commuters in the area are advised to adjust their travel plans accordingly.
