All Peace bantam league to implement non-checking play

Hockey Alberta announced May 5 that six of its minor hockey leagues will implement non-checking/body contact only play for Tiers 4-6 at the U15 (Bantam) age level.

This includes the All Peace League, which includes the Fort St. John Bantam Flyers.

Hockey Alberta said the decision comes after reviewing feedback from a survey it held regarding implementing non-checking. The CAHL, NAI, NEAHL, Edmonton Federation, and Hockey Calgary will be affected by the ruling as well. 

A parent resource document describing the decision and information around checking education will be made available through Hockey Alberta.
