A week after the Bantam Trackers split two games against the second-place North Zone Kings, the North East Bantam Trackers won both games in Prince George over the North Central Bobcats to keep pace with the Kings and Kelowna Rockets at the top of the B.C. Bantam Zone standings. The Trackers won 4-1 on Saturday, Devember 7, and 7-1 on Sunday, December 8.
Cayden Lindstrom scored in the first on Saturday and Keith Marshall scored in the second, making the score 2-1 Trackers after two. With the score the same late in the third, Mason Loewen scored on a wrist shot and Reid Norman drove home a rebound. Ben Delisi was in net for the win.
On Sunday, the Trackers had their way with the Bobcats the entire game, taking a 4-0 lead into the third. They added three more goals in the third, before North Central broke the shutout late in the period. Evan Baker won the game in goal for the Trackers.
The Bantam Trackers (7-3-1) remain third in the standings with 15 points, one behind the Kings, and four behind the Rockets, with a game in hand. The Trackers will be in Kelowna next weekend, December 14 and 15, to try and gain ground on the first place team.
