Flyers set to take on Falher on Troy Hunt night

With two games under their belt, the Fort St. John Senior Flyers have been rolling early in the North Peace Hockey League.

After opening the season with a 4-3 win over the Grande Prairie Athletics when they raised their Coy Cup banner to the rafters, the Flyers carried that momentum into a 7-4 win over the Spirit River Rangers on Thursday.

Jeff Shipton potted a hat trick in the win, Robbie Sidhu added two goals and Rick Cleaver chipped in with three assists.

Four of the Flyers goals came via the man-advantage.

Travis McLean picked up the win in a 33-save performance.

Saturday night the Flyers will honour long-time netminder Troy Hunt, who last season recorded his 100th career NPHL win.

Puck drop is 8:30 at North Peace Arena and the Flyers will also have their first beer garden of the season.
