The 2019 National Hot Rod Association season is just getting started, and three drivers from Fort St. John are in Las Vegas for the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series Pacific Division Race.

The drivers are testing their cars today, with qualifying set to begin tomorrow, April 12. Racing is set for Saturday and Sunday.

Lucas said this race is used as a tune-up, a chance for drivers to see how their car looks ahead of the division races, and what changes drivers need to make to their cars. Lucas' first Division 6 race of 2019 is in Boise, Idaho on May 2.
