Fort St. John Huskies filling the bus this Sunday

The annual Christmas time tradition of the Fort St. John Huskies holding a Fill the Bus food drive for the Fort St. John Food Bank goes again on Sunday, Dec. 2 for the 21st time. Last season, the Huskies collected 20,000 pounds of food and are looking to collect a similar amound in 2018.

"We're on track to have a good day, with a lot of volunteers in place, and are expecting good weather after a cold, snowy day last year," said organizer Allen Karasiuk.

The players will begin going door to door collecting food donations at 10 a.m., and will head to the North Peace Arena around 1 p.m. along with all the volunteers, when the busy and fun part begins — packing the food and loading the bus.
