Fort St. John lacrosse teams have tough showing in Red Deer

The Fort St. John Lacrosse Grizzlies were in Red Deer last weekend for the Tradition Lives Lacrosse Tournament, May 18 and 19. The novice, peewee and bantam teams were all in action for their first tournament of the season. 

Unfortunately, things didn't go the Grizzlies way, as it was the team's first games against the caliber of Alberta lacrosse teams. Fort St. John Minor Lacrosse Publicity Director Lyndsay Beer said it was a good learning experience for all the Grizzlies players.

The novice team had one win to go with three losses, while the peewee and bantam teams had four losses each. 

The Grizzlies will be in Sherwood Park for their next tournament, June 1 and 2.
