Huskies player of the week: Chase Gregory

The NWJHL season is in full swing, and the Fort St. John Huskies are hard at work trying to defend their championship. Each week we'll talk to a different Huskies player, about themselves as a player, where they're from and the current Huskies season.

Position: Forward

Hometown: Calgary

Height: 5’11

Weight: 185 lbs

2017 stats (with Calgary Northstars): 24GP, 12G, 7A, 19P

2018 stats: 19GP, 3G, 1A, 4P

Age and year with Huskies: 19, first year with Huskies

On joining the Huskies: “I was traded here in 2017 but had to return to Calgary. I decided to come give it a try this year, and it’s been great. We have a good group of guys and we have some great coaches under Todd.”

On his best game of the year, two goals against Peace River on Dec. 15: “It was a pretty fun game. It’s a great feeling to put some goals in the net and I’m glad we got the big four points against North Peace that weekend.”

On his play this year: “It took me a while to get my footing, but everything’s going well now and I’ll produce well going forward.”

On the upcoming Christmas break: “It will be good to get away for a bit and recharge, and give us a little push for the New Year.”
