Gardner last represented Canada at the inaugural PBR Global Cup in Edmonton back in 2017. This unique event is the only bull riding competition that pits country against country. Canada missed the podium a year ago.

The Peace region cowboy finished a career-high ninth in the PBR Canada standings in 2019. Gardner joins a Team Canada that includes 2019 PBR Canada champion Scott Schiffner and two-time champ Zane Lambert. Seven men made the roster.
