Jake Watson back in the money with third-place finish in round 7 at NFR

Jake Watson was back in the top three at the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas on Wednesday night, finishing third in round seven of the saddle bronc event with a score of 87.50. Riding Cash Deal, Watson earned $15,653.85 for his ride. 

After Watson won round five with a score of 92, he finished out of the money in round six, but did post a score of 81.50 to tie for ninth place and help him in the overall saddle bronc average.

So far, through seven rounds, Watson has earned $41,884.62. There are three more rounds left to go for Watson to earn some more prize money, as well as the payout for the average. All in all, it's been a pretty good week at work for Watson. 

Round eight of the NFR starts tonight, December 12, at 7 p.m.
