Kane Schreiner, Nathan Jackle impress at cross country provincials

Bert Bowes Middle School runners Kane Schreiner and Nathan Jackle were in Nanaimo Nov. 3 for the B.C. Cross Country Provincials. Schreiner finished 42nd in the province out of 277 runners, while Jackle finished 162nd, on the 4.2km course.

It's the first time Bert Bowes has had athletes at cross country provincials in many years, according to Bert Bowes Vice Principal Jen Harrison. Both Schreiner and Jackle are in Grade 9, and were competing against students in Grade 10 as well.
