Lina Streeper wins World Championship Dog Race in Manitoba

Lina Streeper is a world champion, after she won the 2020 World Champion Dog Race at the 73rd Trappers Festival yesterday, in The Pas, Manitoba. This is the first time Streeper has won this race, (she finished second a year ago) and is just the second woman to ever win — last year's champion, Anny Malo, was the first.

Streeper finished the three-day race with a time of six hours, 17 minutes and 42 seconds, 80 seconds faster than Malo. Lina's husband, Buddy Streeper, finished the race in fourth place, 15 minutes back. Buddy is a prior winner of the World Champion Dog Race.
