NEBC Midget Trackers in first place at provincials with one round robin game to go

The NEBC and Yukon Midget Trackers are playing as well as they have all season right now at the B.C. Midget Tier 1 Provincials. Through five games they are 4-1, currently the best record of the tournament. Most recently, the Trackers beat Richmond 4-1 this morning.

The Trackers play Burnaby tomorrow, March 21 at 9 a.m. for their final game of the round robin. Burnaby currently has a 3-1 record, and plays North Okanagan later this afternoon. North Okanagan is the only team to beat the Trackers this week, 4-3, on Monday, March 18.

A win against Burnaby would give the Trackers 10 points and earn them a spot in the final, which goes at 5 p.m. on Thursday night. The top two teams in points advance to the final. The Trackers can still make the finals with a loss or tie tomorrow, but it depends on how the other teams do. Central Okanagan is also 3-1, with two games remaining, while North Okanagan has a 2-1-1 record with two more games to go.
