Northern B.C. Rec Association announces scholarship

The Northern B.C. Recreation Association announced the release of their annual scholarship today. The association, which exists to foster awareness and ideas for sports and liesure activity in Northeast B.C., is offering a $1,000 scholarship to students pursuing post-secondary education in recreation, physical education, leisure studies, and kinesiology. 

Applicants must be from Chetwynd, Dawson Creek, Fort Nelson, Fort St. John, Taylor, Hudson’s Hope, Mackenzie, Tumbler Ridge, or surrounding areas.

To apply, send a cover letter, as well as a 500-1,000 word essay on what you've done for your community and your plans for after education to NBCRA Treasurer Naomi Gallant at

The deadline to apply is June 15, 2019.
