NWJHL weekend recap: February 18 to 24

The first round of the 2019-20 NWJHL Playoffs are nearly over. The Dawson Creek Canucks beat the Sexsmith Vipers 3-1 and will play the North Peace Navigators in the second round. 

The County of Grande Prairie Kings lead the Fairview Flyers 2-1. All three games have been one-goal games. Both Kings wins came in overtime, and they beat the Flyers in overtime in the final game of the regular season.

Game 4 of the series between the Flyers and Kings goes tonight, while Game 5, if necessary, will take place tomorrow. The Fort St. John Huskies will play the winner of that series in the second round. Both second round series are set to start this weekend but no schedule has been released.
