River Rats cancel Taylor Jet Boat Race and Poker Rally

The Peace Country River Rats cancelled its two biggest events of the summer yesterday. The annual River Rats Poker Rally (scheduled for July 4) and the Taylor Flats 200 Jet Boat Race (September 4 to 6) will not take place this year.

"With the Peace Island Park Pavilion being closed, social distancing regulations, and current group gathering limits, it is just not feasible to hold our events this year," said the River Rats Executive on a Facebook post. "Thank you to everyone who have still inquired about and offered to volunteer this year."
