Trackers advance to gold medal game at provincials

A year after settling for provincial bronze at home, the NEBC and Yukon Midget Trackers will play for provincial gold today at 5 p.m. The trackers played their way into the final by beating Burnaby 2-0 this morning in their final round robin game, to finish with a 5-1 record.

The Trackers will play Okanagan Central, who has one game remaining in the round robin today against 0-5 east Kootenay. Central currently has eight points, the same as Burnaby, but win or lose, Okanagan is still in the final thanks to a tiebreaker.
