Wonowon 4-H Club Report

Hi everyone! I hope you are enjoying the warm sunshine.

Provincial Club Week that Logan and Sara went to was in March. They said it was lots of fun and I can't miss it. They said it was about building trust and confidence with other people, making friends and leadership skills.

We weighed our 4-H animals May 2, 2020. Sara's steer weighed 1,190lbs and my steer weighed 1,150lbs. The steers have two months to go on grain.

When we sell them I will miss them like I do every year. The estimate finish weight for my steer is 1,250lbs and Sara's steer's is 1,300lbs. We have kept track of when our 4-H heifers come in heat and they are in with a bull right now. We spend time morning and night with our 4-H animals. I have already sat on my steer a few times and he loves being scratched.

At the District 4-H meeting in May, we learned that our Ahievement Days at the North Peace Fall Fair Grounds have been cancelled. I was really looking forward to showing my 4-H animals in the show ring and Sara was too. We are still having the District 4-H sale of beef, sheep and swine. Look for more information in the next few weeks.

A special thanks to the past buyers as well as to the Co-op for sponsoring this page.
