KOC Bantam Flyers have busy November

The Fort St. John Knights of Columbus Bantam Flyers had a busy month of November filled with plenty of game action and road trips around Alberta.

To start the month, the Flyers travelled to Edmonton Nov. 1-3, where they tied the Strathcona Warriors 3-3, lost to the Fort Saskatchewan Rangers 4-1 and beat the Sturgeon Mustangs 4-1.

In the second weekend of the month, the Flyers saw three straights wins, including a 2-1 win over the Dawson Creek Canucks, a 16-5 triumph over the Slave Lake Thunder and another 5-3 win over the Peace River Sabres.

Last weekend the Bantam Flyers hit the road again to Fort McMurray, where they came home with a 3-3 tie and a 3-2 win over the Barons.

Defenceman Jeridyn Loewen is the Knights of Columbus Bantam Flyers' Player of the Week.

"I like playing hockey, but I really like playing hockey with this group of guys," he said.

The Bantam Flyers will host their own tournament this weekend at the Pomeroy Sport Centre, where they'll welcome teams from all over the Peace Region and beyond.

The Flyers' first game will be Friday night at 6:45 p.m.
